With energy prices rising we are often asked how we can save energy in the home.
Harry, Our Domestic Services Director has listed a few tips to help:-
- Change to a smart thermostat. You will be able to set the timer to cut down on unnecessary heating, when you are out or asleep.
- Reduce the ‘flow’ temperature of your boiler
- Turn down your hot water temperature
- Close your curtains and internal doors to keep the heat in one room and out of the rooms you don’t use as much
- Increase your boiler efficiency, by servicing your heating system regularly.
- Maintain the fuel and air filters
- Bleed your radiators – do you have cold spots at the top of your rads?
- A powerflush will clear out deposits in your pipes and radiators.
